A collection of glass rings, 2020
This small collection of rings was made to explore glass. This material is usually associated with windows or household products and accessories such as drinking glasses or vases. Glass is a very interesting material as it is usually seen as something fragile and can easily break however to melt it, it must go up to temperatures of around 2000 degrees Celsius. However to polish or drill into the material diamonds have to be used to ensure a clean finish.
Each ring was made and polished by hand. this collection was inspired by the traditional signet rings.
